White, blue, brown, purple and black belt system has following progression for adults, while kids usually follow the white to yellow, orange to green. Black belt is only certified by the SJJIF that promote learners to that specific level. An athlete must be nineteen years old to get the black belt and it is necessary to be affiliated with the SJJIF. Black belt has 7 levels followed by different degrees and one clear belt that is awarded by SJJIF according to some compulsory fulfilled conditions. Black belt confirmed the mastery of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu arts skilled by a proficient player.

The journey from White Belt to Black Belt

Brown Belt

The most rewarding and exciting stage in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is to be on the track of Black Belt which is arduous and long one. After this rank, BJJ practitioners awarded significant degree under six degrees according to achievement and then awarded a red belt.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu also shapes your body stronger, leaner, smarter and greater ability to defend yourself in any situation and compete against the attack.
